Garrett Thomas

A second-year computer science PhD student at Stanford advised (expected 2023) by Tengyu Ma and James Zou. His academic interests lie broadly in machine learning, particularly in (deep) reinforcement learning. Previously he studied Computer Science and Mathematics at UC Berkeley. Was fortunate to be part of Pieter Abbeel’s group, working with Aviv Tamar on reinforcement learning and its applications to robotics. Their research was largely concerned with policy structure, planning, and generalization. (Source: ai.stanford.edu/~gwthomas/). Additionally, he has other publications that are of interest too in Quora: quora.com/profile/Garr ett-Thomas-8 and Github: github.com/gwthomas/force.
