IEEE SSIT ā¢ (SOCIETY SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS TECHNOLOGY)
Technology and Society is the focus of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (SSIT). This site, our publications, conferences. social media groups, blogs, and local events provide forums for us (including you) to interact, and address the challenges and opportunities the application of technology can have for our the world. The society focuses on five major areas:
- Sustainable Development & Humanitarian Technology.
- Humanitarian engineering.
- Technology to support persons with disabilities.
- Technology to support generational leapfrogging in greenfield environments.
European Association for Artificial Intelligence
The European Association for Artificial Intelligence EurAI (formerly ECCAI) was established in July 1982 as a representative body for the European Artificial Intelligence community. Its aim is to promote the study, research and application of Artificial Intelligence in Europe.

The European AI Alliance
The AI Alliance acts as a multi-stakeholder forum engaged in a broad and open discussion of all aspects of AI development and its impact on the economy and society. As a member of the European AI Alliance you are able to interact with the High-Level Expert Group on AI (AI HLEG), which functions as the Steering Group of the Alliance.
European Union Agency for Cybersecurity
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) has been working to make Europe cyber secure since 2004. The Agency is located in Athens, Greece and has a second office in Heraklion, Greece.
MITās Quest for Intelligence
“MIT Quest addresses two fundamental questions: How does human intelligence work, in engineering terms? And how can we use our understanding of human intelligence to build smarter machines for the benefit of society? As part of our mission, we are developing customized AI tools for non-AI researchers, which could accelerate progress in many fields”.

IIIA was created in 1994 as an offspring of a small group that initiated its research activites in 1985. In 1994 we moved from the Advanced Studies Research Centre (CEAB) . They have experience in many areas of Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning, knowledge representation, multiagent systems, agreement technologies, natural language processing, reasoning, optimisation, and semantics.
AEPIA
The Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence (AEPIA) was created in 1983 to promote and encourage the development of Artificial Intelligence in both the Spanish and Ibero-American spheres.

Artificial Intelligence Board of America (ARTIBA)
The ARTIBA professional credential is crafted to assess and certify the select few machine intelligence and cognitive science professionals who have proven their competencies across technology platforms and practices. The program is designed for artificial intelligence professionals from around the world for the purpose of providing excellence in Artificial Intelligence practices and strategy, with a view to provide rapid industry adoption.
